Hi there!
On July 21, 2014 I checked something off my bucket list. It was possibly the best night of my life so far. If you consider WE day a type of concert, then Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour was my 11th concert and boy, does it take the cake!
When I was 6 or 7 years old (Maybe even 8!) I went to Hilary Duff's concert with Jenna. Here's a little jem from my first concert ever:
Ah the glow sticks! It was awesome.
When I was 11 years old, 2009, I went to my first Jonas Brothers concert, and my 2nd concert ever (I have photos somewhere and will upload them when I find them) Then in 2010 I went to another Jonas Concert:
THE HORROR!! I was so close to them and had the best time with my mom but 12 year old me is...interesting...
Then there was Selena Gomez, twice, in 2011. I'm 13 years old.
This was Ana's first concert! So happy I went with her.
The second time I went with Lindsey!
The prize for worst photos taken at a concert goes to....DARREN CRISS! I saw his concert in 2013 and he is just fantastic!!
No photos were taken of Lindsey and I at that concert (idiot)
Next, Jonas Brothers 2013 on July 18 and if you know anything about me, you know why that day was so special. I wont post my meet and greet photo again, but that was now the second best concert I've ever been to, but best Jonas concert. Age 15.
First concert with Jessica!
Fun fact! I was completely naked at this concert at one point
...
To change from my Meet and Greet dress to my romper and change undergarments too in the washroom
(What kind of a girl do you think I am!?!)
Later that summer, I went to my first "adult concert" and by that I mean not a teen sensation. I went to watch Depeche Mode with my mom, dad, and childhood best friend Kira
Next I was invited to WE day (Best lighting for any selfie award goes to WE day with Molina)
...I hope you knew that was sarcasm
At the beginning of the summer, another lovely best friend took me to see Michael Buble. Eleni is a mentor, a role model, a sister, and an all around lovely lady who I had the pleasure of meeting in grade 9. She's always there to lend an ear and a shoulder over a slice of cake. Without her, I don't know what I'd do.
It was a great show! Thank you for taking me Eleni!
This post was brought to you by Evian!
Just kidding ;)
July 21. Last show of the Katy Perry Pirsmatic world tour Toronto. Arena: Air Canada Centre Time: 6:30-11:45 Katy Perry came on stage at 9pm.
First, we began preping our hair. A small poof for both of us, followed by neon pink hair gel. I was happy that it didn't stay neon and instead turned into a gorgeous red/deep pink colour. I bought Ana some red heart shaped glasses to complete our look. We painted our nails with pink and purple sparkly nail polish. I applied a little bit of makeup and we did "Katy Perry" whiskers on our faces with black acrylic paint from the dollar store. I lent Ana my pink pettiskirt and wore my red and white one with black shorts underneath. We both wore tanktops so we could wear our tour tshirts over top.
Oh my gosh, can I just say how perfect ^this photo is? Colouring is spot on, the lighting is PERFECT, everything is impeccable in the shot #ProudPhotographerMoment
Thank you Suzie for the amazing photos! This is Ana's second concert and both of her concerts were with me! Remember what we looked at back in 2011?
Selfie on the way to the concert! You can find photos like this and many more on my Instagram
We bought our program and then our tshirts and blinky lights. I collect lights and tour shirts. One day, I'll probably make a quilt out of all of them. When we went to change, we were very pleased to see the bathrooms looked like this:
It was a long wait until Katy came so Ana and I decided to walk around and take advantage of all the free swag they were giving out. We got a photo booth photo taken, 6 packs of gum each, like 4 or so pairs of prism glasses, I got a free drawstring bag, and we got our picture taken at the Cover Girl photo booth and apparently we were on the big screen!!
(Disclaimer: Google Plus has changed a bit of the colouring of some photos when I uploaded them) And now, the moment we were all waiting for. Katy my lady! I cried when I first saw her, and here is the photo spam of a life time:
And so it was that Katy Perry put on the best concert in history. She was so fantastic!! What an incredible incredible lady. She put on a show, it wasn't just a concert. If you go to one concert in your life, you must go to a Katy Perry concert. I was so pumped and so extremely happy. I cannot believe that I saw her live! Her vocals were amazing! Of course there were slight discrepancy between her recording voice and her live voice, but you know what? At least she sings live and I enjoy her live voice just as much as her recorded one! Her vocals live are a lot more...raspy I guess you could say. It's more like her speaking voice. I find it totally adorable and amazing! You are extremely entertained the whole time, never a dull moment. It was a sensory overload of pure awesomeness. Here are some videos I recorded at the concert: Disclaimer, my actual recording is a lot better, more vibrant, and clear in comparison to what YouTube uploaded for me but I hope you still enjoy it! And yes...my screams and vocals can be heard in them :P
Watching these videos makes me cry tears of joy. It was such an incredible experience! Another thing checked off my bucket list!
We had an adrenaline rush after and as we walked out we got a really good deal on headbands they were selling outside. And that is the end of the most amazing concert I've ever been too and I can't believe I was able to experience it all with you Ana! You were a great concert buddy and thank you for taking me!
To you, Miss Katheryn Elizabeth Perry, I still hold my pinky up high promising to never break up with you. I love you Katy, I am a true #KatyCat.
Do I need to say more? Wish it. Dream it. Do it.
P.S. She made us all hold our pinkies in the air during the concert and made us promise to never break up with her...so as Jessica says "[I'm] basically married to Katy Perry now."
